  • 2 28-ounce cans of San Marzano tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 6 garlic cloves finely minced
  • 1 medium onion finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Red pepper flakes optional, to taste
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Finishing Touches

  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Quick Cooking Steps

  • Boil salted water
  • Cook pasta 8-10 minutes
  • Drain, reserving 1 cup pasta water
  • Sauté garlic in olive oil
  • Toss pasta with garlic, cheese, and herbs
  • Adjust with reserved pasta water
